Strawbale Hobbit construction, 220 m2 - Linköping, Sweden
We had the pleasure to work with a great family of Linnea and Per in Verklighetens Gård farm. The organic house is designed by the owners who also worked in every stage of construction. This unique 220 m2 of living space was rising for 4 years.
All the wood, including the oak tree that stands in the middle of the house, comes from the property. We had to opportunity to work with one of the best quality of fat grey clay we've ever met, from the plot, in order to cover the interiors of the house. For exterior plaster we have used 2 years old slaked lime Ca(OH)2 mixed with carbonate minerals and pozzolans in order to create plaster suitable for Swedish weather conditions.
